- Conservation Reserve Program
- A federal program under which producers voluntarily retire environmentally sensitive crop land for 10 to 15 years in return for annual rental payments through which the government shares the cost of establishing approved conservation practices. Payments are through the USDA Commodity Credit Corporation.
